It’s normal and expected that a small amount of water gathers in the drip tray after carbonation. This happens because the machine’s mechanism is designed to release extra water, which might get sucked up with the gas when the handle is released after carbonation.
To minimize the amount of water we would recommend you to:
- Check that you are filling the bottle precisely to the filling line.
- After carbonating the water, push down the release handle halfway to let the valves evacuate the excess gas at a slower rate. Optimally, you allow the “psshhh”-sound to last for 2-3 seconds. Then continue to press the handle all the way down to raise the cover.
